Seven Months

Aidan after eating some yummy carrots!

Aidan will be seven months old tomorrow! I am so excited to see him experience new things every day! It absolutely melts my heart that Carter goes into his room in the mornings and I can hear them giggling through the monitor. It also melts my heart that everytime Aidan sees Carter that he squeals with sheer delight! I always knew that Carter would be a great big brother, but he truly loves being a big brother. I pray that the bond that they share now will only grow stronger through the years.

I thought I would let you in on a few of the milestones that Aidan has met over the past month. He is sitting up on his own now! This is awesome in so many ways, no more lugging the carseat into restaurants and into the stores. He also is very content to sit in his pack and play and play while I am making dinner or cleaning things up. Since he started sitting up we started him on solid foods. He eats a half jar in the morning and a full jar at night. So far he is allergic to bananas, hopefully that will be the only thing! He also babbles all the time and has also figured out how to blow bubbles. I think he's much like his brother in that he already loves to hear himself talk! One of my most favorite things that he does is he holds his arms up when he sees me so I can pick him up. There's just something about seeing those lifted arms and huge smile that takes away all the stress of the day.

As exciting as each new milestone is, it is still sad to me with how fast it is all going by. I thought that the first year went by fast with Carter but these past seven months have gone by in a flash! We are so incredibly blessed by both of our boys!

Johnny Rockets

I thought these pics were too cute not to share! The day that we went to the beach we stopped for lunch at Johnny Rockets. Here are the pics of the boys in their hats. Carter wore his for 2 days after!

My Other Brother

My other brother is a...... monogramming machine!!!! I love it! Ryan got it for me for Valentine's Day and it is awesome. I am slowly getting everything in my house monogrammed! This machine does all types of embroidery and appliques. I have taken pics of some of the stuff I've done and will post them soon. The great thing is that I've started monogramming things for friends and have started to earn some extra money from that! Now I just have to find time in our already busy schedule to fit in my monogramming projects, that is the only drawback!

T-Ball

T-Ball is finally here and Carter is so excited!! He is on the A's and can not wait until March 28th, which is Opening Day. Here are a few pics from his first practice last week. I don't know why this entire post is underlined! :)
Run, Run, Run!
Batting instruction from Coach Vann

You have to take a break or 3 or 4 for a drink!

A Day at the Beach

Last Saturday the weather was awesome! It was a perfect day to go to the beach. We went down to Ft. Morgan and had a great time. The pics loaded in a crazy order but Ft. Morgan has an actual fort and we went there before Carter changed into his swimsuit. Carter wanted to swim in the ocean so bad but the water is too cold. He had to settle for running in and out of the water!

Aidan playing on the blanket

Carter looking at the water.

This was up by the fort and Carter is watching some dolphins in the water.

Posing for a rare shot!

Pure joy!!

Can you believe it??

When did Aidan get so big???

A little exciting, a little sad...

Aidan turned 6 months old last Friday. It is so hard for me to believe that it has already been 6 months since I had him. It's very exciting to see all the new things that he can do but at the same time it makes me a bit sad that he is no longer a newborn! Here are his stats from our doctor visit on Monday.

6 Months Birth

Weight: 20 pounds 7.3 pounds

Length: 29 inches 21 inches

As you can see he has grown quite a bit and if you were wondering the answer is yes, he is the size of your average 12 month old! Aidan has been teething like crazy for the past two months and he now has 8 teeth with a few more on the way. We will be starting baby food next week. He still is a great sleeper and usually sleeps between 10-12 hours a night. He can sit up on his own and is grabbing everything in sight! He continues to be the absolute sweetest baby and is incredibly laid back. There is nothing that really upsets him. We are so blessed by both Aidan and Carter! They bring so much joy to us everyday and it is really exciting to see them grow and learn new things everyday!

Funny Conversation

I love Carter's age and the things that he randomly thinks about! On the way to work yesterday Carter says, "Mom, I'm getting big right? " Yes, Carter you're getting big! "Well where is Daddy going to sit in the car when I'm big enough to ride in the front seat?"

Later in the day we were in the car again and Carter asks me if he can have fish sticks for breakfast in the morning. I said, fish sticks are you sure? Carter says, of course I love fish sticks and syrup! I said, I don't think that is a good combination, are you sure its fish sticks? We finally figured out after some debate that he wanted french toast sticks with syrup! That sounds much better to me!

Cowboy Carter

Carter was so excited for Cowboy Day at his preschool on Friday that he let me take some pics of him dressed up! I couldn't figure out how to rotate the first pic!

He had a lot of fun that day and even won one of their stick horse races!

Mardi Gras!

We went to one of Fairhope's Mardi Gras parades when Sallie came to visit. It was hard to get some good pics, so this is what I got!

Ready to go!

Throw me some beads!

Waiting for another float.

I should have gotten a picture of all of his loot! He got lots of beads, several stuffed animals, cups, frisbees, a football, and about 4 of the coveted peanut butter moonpies!
