Something Fun and Not Kid Related!

Its been a stressful few days or weeks, I guess! I saw this video and it was exactly what I needed today! This is awesome and I can't imagine how fun their reception must have been!

Only Carter...

Kindergarten is fast approaching! Carter is starting a kindergarten readiness class tomorrow where they introduce him to the school and he'll really get an idea of what kindergarten will be like. Its designed to lessen the fear on the first day. It lasts Tue-Thurs from 9-12 for 2 weeks. I asked him today if he was excited about going. Here is how our conversation went.

Me- Carter, are you excited to go to your new school tomorrow?

Carter- Do I get to wear my new fast shoes?

Me-Sure

Carter- Well, am I going to have to learn something or will I just get to play?? Because that depends on if I'm excited or not.

Me- Maybe you'll get to do a little of both.

Carter- I hope we just play!

Aunt Sallie and Lucky Goggles

Aunt Sallie (my sister) came for a visit this week! We were so excited to be able to spend time with her. Carter loves her so much and they have lots of fun together and its exciting to see Aidan get excited when we see her as well. They do share a special bond and she is definately the fun one! We went to the beach and pool twice while she was here. After the first day Carter told us that he just had to have some goggles. Just as luck would have it we had to make a trip to Target and we got him a pair of goggles. He couldn't wait to use them and I really was amazed at how much better he swam with them. At the end of the afternoon he declared that they were indeed his lucky goggles! Thanks for coming to visit us Aunt Sallie!!

A Great 4th!

We had a great 4th of July this year! Every year we go to a party around lunchtime at some friends house on the river. It is so much fun with lots of friends! We ate great and then went down to their dock and swam for several hours. It was so hot that was about all you could do! Then later that evening we went down to Gulf Shores and met up with our friends Chris and Wendy to watch the fireworks! They shoot them off from a barge out in the ocean and it was one of the best displays I've seen in a long time! Carter had a great time playing with Ethan while we waited. It was an awesome end to a great day!
