Happy Thanksgiving 2010

We had a great but busy Thanksgiving break. We spent the week in McDonough going back and forth between Nana and Papa's house and Memaw's house. Here is our week in pictures!

Spent the day doing some early shopping on Tuesday.

Lots of playing outside!

On Tuesday Carter spent the night with my sister Sallie. I met them on Wednesday and we went to the little town of Senoia. I am in love with this place!! It was built to be used for movie sets and it was so fun to visit. The picture above is a piece of furniture that I fell in love with at one of the shops. I won't ever have this piece but at least I'll have the picture! The bottom picture is where we ate lunch. The redneck cafe, I think thats what it was called. It was crazy good!

Thanksgiving Day hanging with Papa.
Taking a walk with the Kane's and Tresize's on Papa's trail in the woods.

We had to end it with a trip to feed the horses across the street!

Auburn buds!
Hunting and fireworks!

Our first leave the house at 3:30am Black Friday shopping experience. Here we are hanging out in the furniture aisle in Wal-Mart for a special toy for Carter.
The checkout lines at 5am!

Happy Birthday Carter!!!

I seriously can not believe that Carter is 7!! Where has the time gone?? Carter is your typical boy. Right now at 7 he is very competitive. He loves to play baseball and soccer. He is doing well in school but it's not his favorite thing to do! :) He loves to play video games and build legos with Ryan. I am constantly amazed at what he can build all on his own. Right now he's an Auburn fan like his Uncle Tim. This does not make Ryan very happy but at least he doesn't proclaim to be a Georgia fan! :) He is a great big brother most of the time and can be really helpful around the house. We are very proud of him!

He wanted a campout sleepover for his birthday. He invited his friends Braden, Jackson, and Grayson. They had so much fun having Nerf fights, playing kickball, roasting hotdogs and marshmallows, and sleeping in the tent. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story!

The Many Faces of Aidan

I took all of these pictures of Aidan this past week. I thought they summed up his personality pretty well! :)

Suckers and cookies, his all time favorite!
Swinging on his belly, his favorite way to swing!
He loves to walk on curbs!
He will sit for a few minutes and watch cartoons with Carter in the afternoon. They both love Arthur.

This pretty much sums up dinnertime in our house right now. Fun times!
Playing in the dryer, he did this for literally 30 min. And yes I know its probably not the safest place for him to play. :)
Eating happily....on his own terms.
Being silly, he always laughs hysterically when he finds this hat and puts it on!

Road Trip

Carter and I "roadtripped" it to Fairhope back at the beginning of November. We were both missing our friends and wanted some time to visit with everyone! It was such a great weekend. On Friday night we stayed with my friend Berry. We were on staff at church together. Her husband watched Carter while she, I, and Leah went out to dinner and then we all stayed the night. It was so much fun to reconnect and catch up! Then the next morning I picked up Regan and we headed to Chick-fil-a to meet Jenny for breakfast. More great times of talking! Then we headed over to Brady's to see her precious new twins!! After that we headed to pick up Carter's friend Caden! Then we all went over to Misty's to love on baby Holland! Then we went to Caden's house where a babysitter came to watch Carter and Caden! Then we headed out to a much needed girls night with all the girls I miss so much! Then we were able to go to church at COTES and see lots more people that we have missed. It was a busy yet relaxed weekend! I so wish I had pictures of all the girls but these are all I got!

No trip is complete unless we stop here!

Carter and Galey drinking "coffee!"

Shephard and Sawyer

Carter was beyond excited to play and spend the night with Caden!

We stopped by the pier on our way out of town.

:)

Election Day

I was so excited for Election Day this year! Not so much for the voting but for the school holiday! Ryan took the day off as well so after we voted we headed to Stone Mountain. We met my mom and sister for a fun, middle of the week, family day!

This is where we voted, we loved being back in the land of electronic voting machines!
